Purpose: To function as a receptionist, assist in the daily operation of the church, and assist church staff as needed
Classification: Part-time
Work Schedule: Monday Through Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This is a 12 months per year position.
Qualifications:
Education: Mandatory - High School Degree
Experience: Office practices, typing, computer operation, Microsoft Office proficient
Other: Initiative required.
Ability to interpret rules and procedures.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Strong communication skills to include effective verbal, writing, editorial and publishing skills.
Organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to include the ability to be discreet, listen, have patience and to present a warm caring attitude.
A high level of integrity.

Outgoing and Friendly personality.
Supervision: Immediate Supervisor is the Executive Pastor who will give any and all reviews. Supervision of others:
Supervises office volunteers.
Primary Duties:
Answers telephone and operates the phone tree.
Screens calls for Church Staff.
Orders supplies.
Opens all mail and distributes to appropriate people.
Monitors Church e-mail and routes messages (prayer concerns, etc) to appropriate people. Maintain Time Sheets for hourly employees.
Mail out meeting notices as directed.
Maintain central key control.
Secretary for the Church Staff, the Board Chair and Ministry Heads.
Help assemble the monthly newsletter.
Prepares Church services bulletins.
Maintains membership records.
Sends congregational letters for special events.
Complete special projects for church staff as requested.
Keeps appointment books for self and ministers.
Maintain Church calendar for congregational use in coordination with Church staff.
Type all church correspondence and maintain files.
Responsible for advising Ministry heads of special events affecting their ministry, i.e. baptisms, weddings, funerals.
Attend regular staff meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
